Different from traditional attorney billing practices, we charge fixed fees - generally a down payment and a fixed, ongoing monthly rate - for the services you engage us for. We do this in an effort to facilitate continuous, open communication – necessary in resolving a tax matter. We don’t want you to avoid asking questions because you’re worried about what the call will cost you. Our fees are fair and custom to your specific needs. Our Consultation Attorneys have been well-trained on how to calculate Bryson fees based on the particulars of your tax situation as discussed in your consultation. The down payment is required in order to begin with Bryson.

It’s important to know that each case Bryson Law Firm, L.L.C. takes on is unique and different. With that, timelines are different, too. An average case duration is about 8 months. If you have several unfiled returns that will need to be filed before we can begin with resolving any unpaid IRS balances, your case will typically take a bit longer than someone whose returns are up to date. If we identify that an Offer in Compromise is the best option available to you, your case will typically take about 4-6 months longer than someone whose best option was an IRS Installment Agreement and Penalty Relief.

We offer tax resolution services not only through Bryson Law Firm, L.L.C., but also through Bryson Accounting and Tax Service, LLC. Depending on the amounts you owe to the IRS, your Consultation Attorney will recommend the smarter, more cost-effective option for your needs. Because of the option you have with Bryson to hire either the law firm or the accounting and tax company, there isn’t a threshold IRS balance that you must owe to be a good candidate for becoming one of our clients.

Ideally, the minute you recognize that you have a tax problem, we suggest you contact our firm. Penalties and interest accrue daily, and each day that passes typically gets you closer and closer to IRS collection activities such as levies, garnishments, and liens. The sooner we’re able to get started, the sooner we’re able to mitigate any unnecessary risks. If you may have waited a little longer than you’d have liked to before deciding to contact our office- that’s ok too. We’re very familiar with taking on cases after collections have begun, penalties and interest have added up, even taking on cases after previous attempts to have this matter resolved have been tried and failed.

A reduction of the tax debt owed is a common goal for our clients, and we explore any and all opportunities for savings through our process! We take a holistic approach to tax resolution- we confirm, if necessary, that all returns on file are properly filed tax returns, as in many situations, simply filing an accurate, correct return will reduce the balance the IRS says you owe. If you have unfiled tax returns, we work to get them filed as soon as possible, mitigating your exposure to late filing penalties (which are much higher than late filing penalties alone!). When we’re ready to submit a resolution to the IRS, we take an in-depth look at your financial situation to determine just what your best option is in paying the IRS. Though we cannot guarantee you savings, we’re able to negotiate money-saving opportunities such as Offers in Compromise, Penalty Abatements, Partial Pay Installment plans for our clients that qualify for such.
